TOP 10 metal releases

This is a TOP 10 metal releases you REALLY should check out.

10. Cannibal Corpse – Red Before Black

Cannibal Corpse is one of those bands that seem unavoidable in everyone’s head. They have marked the spirits since their formation in 1988, not only with their brutal death metal, but also with their bloody artworks. They also brought many people to listen to death metal. Just for the icon they represent, their new album Red Before Black deserved to be listened.

9. Trivium – The Sin And The Sentence

Trivium, formed in 2000, oscillates from albums to albums between metalcore, melodic death metal, thrash metal and heavy metal. Whatever people say, their productions are always very clean. The same applies to their stage performances. In a little more than ten years, they have become an inescapable figure in the international metal scene. Finally, the eponymous title of their upcoming album The Sin And The Sentence does not seems so bad…

Release date: October 20, 2017

8. Cavalera Conspiracy – Psychosis

Another decried band. Cavalera Conspiracy is far from being the greatest achievement of the brothers Max and Iggor Cavalera. But after their Return to Roots tour, we have the right to think that this new album Psychosis may well contain some gold nuggets. It is up to you to judge with this first excerpt called Insane.

Release date: November 17, 2017

Pre-order Cavalera Conspiracy new album Psychosis

7. Forgotten Tomb – We Owe You Nothing

Forgotten Tomb in 2017, it sounds a bit like Shining. It’s black, it’s dirty, it’s unhealthy. We preferred not to publish the uncensored video of their new song We Owe You Nothing taken from their new album. However, they remain a major band of the underground scene, and therefore necessarily unavoidable. For people lacking a new album from Shining, Forgotten Tomb seems all indicated to overcome the dark desires of everyone.

6. Winds Of Plague – Blood Of My Enemy

You’re going to tell me that Winds Of Plague is one of those uninspiring deathcore bands. Still, it seems that their new album to come called Blood Of My Enemy allowed the band to take a new course. We’re not just talking about deathcore, but we’re moving towards black metal with symphonic arrangements. One might even be tempted to say that there are folk influences. In any case, their new song Never Alone could please the fans of metalcore, deathcore and black metal symphonic, all together.

5. Blut Aus Nord – Deus Salutis Meae

Blut Aus Nord is not a band that can be listened to by everyone. Their music is particularly tortured. And it is all this complex violence that intrigues us. We no longer count the number of misdeeds, albums and EPs combined, of the French avant-garde black metal band born in 1994. Extreme music lovers will be delighted.

4. Enslaved – E

Enslaved is part of this kind of bands everyone agrees with. They are majestic in every way. Their live shows are unstoppable. Since 1991, they have had time to think outside the box and to offer us many facets of their personality. This new album simply called E is yet another step in the career of the Norwegians, since the excellent Herbrand Larsen (keyboards, clear voice) left the adventure. But the first excerpts of this upcoming album are reassuring.

3. Moonspell – 1755

Moonspell loves to surprise us with every album. The guys have brought us so many surprises over the years, but they were all excellent. From Wolfheart to Night Eternal, from The Butterfly Effect to Alpha Noir, not to mention their fantastic last album Extinct… In fact, we could cite absolutely all their albums, as they are unique and beautifully well done. Obviously, they do not change the good habits, since their new album 1755 is entirely in Portuguese and moved away from the previous album. We are very eager to listen to the entire album.

Release date: November 3, 2017

2. Marilyn Manson – Heaven Upside Down

Marilyn Manson has been so provocative and avant-garde over the years that we are inevitably waiting for his new album at the turn. Especially since he announced something heavy: a kind of back to basics that can already be seen in the first excerpt called We Know Where You Fucking Live taken from this new album Heaven Upside Down. Moreover, the album was called SAY10 at the first time. A rather evocative title… And always provocative. We like it.

1. Converge – The Dusk In Us

As for Enslaved, Converge is unanimous in the metal public. It is a band absolutely unavoidable. And as for Moonspell, they take us from album to album by surprising us every time. This band is unclassifiable: hardcore? sludge? hard rock? In fact, it’s a joyful mess for one of the best live bands in the world. The Dusk In Us is perhaps the most anticipated album release of the year.
